Quote of the Day

Be true to your work, your word, and your friend.
--Henry David Thoreau

My husband David loves to work in his garden and we're both delighted by the delectable veggies he brings in for our supper. Last night, our neighbor's dog, Kia, came calling and spent the night. They've been away for 3 weeks, and Kia had apparently had enough of being alone. As we would any friend who needs companionship, we welcomed her in. And as for being true to your word--is there any other way?! I hope that this day your work gives you pleasure and meaning, that your friends are true ones and that the words that fall from your lips serve to strengthen the bonds of love.
