I apologize for missing a day, yesterday. The wind of the day before became destructive, bringing down trees not just onto but into peoples' homes and across power lines. We were without electricity until yesterday afternoon. Also, a downed tree started a forest fire just a mile south of our house (photos courtesy of friend and neighbor Marianne Jacobsen). I was supposed to drive a friend to Sacramento, yesterday, to catch a flight to Denver, but his roof blew off, so he had to cancel, and our roads were treacherous, anyway. Today, we'll put ourselves back together, again, and I'll hope to get back to normal posting, tomorrow. Until then, may you and all you love be safe from harm.
